Every source we use, openly stated

Trustworthy legal intelligence starts with knowing where the data comes from. This ledger lists every external data source behind Lekha, the licence we use it under, and the attribution that licence requires — with a link to the source and to the licence text. We index official law and link to the official copy; we don't re-host it. Last verified 2026-08-02.

Source-of-Truth Act registry (in-app)

Official — link only

Lekha's curated registry mapping each cited Act (title, year and section pinpoint) to its authoritative source. Statute pointers go to the official India Code repository; regulator-administered Acts point to the relevant regulator (RBI / SEBI). We never fabricate a deep-link handle we cannot verify.

Attribution: Pointers to official Indian statutes are served from India Code (indiacode.nic.in), Government of India, and the relevant regulators. Lekha's mapping and annotation are its own editorial layer.

How to read this ledger

Open licences (GODL-India, CC-BY-4.0) let us index and link the data provided we carry the attribution shown above. Official — link only means we point to the official repository and add our own editorial mapping on top, without re-hosting the text. See the live judgment coverage on the open corpus page and our full trust methodology in the Authority Center.

Educational, not legal advice. Lekha's own annotations and AI-assisted summaries are a separate editorial layer — where they are unverified they are labelled beta / pending expert review. Always read the official copy at the source and confirm specifics with a qualified advocate.
